Picks of the Week:
The Wednesday nights at Kulshan’s trackside beer garden have been turning into quite the weekly event. Smooth Kiwi seems like a great pick to keep that going this week. I’m a sucker for a good brass band, so Lowdown Brass Band at the Bellwether the next night should also be a lot of fun. Saturday we’ve got a bunch of bands shutting down a block of Moore St. for a punky rock and roll party. Headliners LipStitch were responsible for one of my favorite local albums of 2020. The whole thing will also be live-streamed. Personally I’m pretty indifferent to all things Grateful Dead related but I know an awful lot of folks around here are into that scene and Andy Coe seems like he knows how to take you on a serious trip into the jam-hole.
