Picks of the Week:
Devin Champlin is well known around town for his work with the Gallus Brothers and the Sons of Rainier, as well as for his great instrument shop and his work as a luthier. He has a very cool new album out now and the release party on Thursday should be a great show. The Best Intentions work with that blend of old-timey jazz, blues, and ragtime that all the cool kids seem to have gotten into over the last few years, and they feature lots of musical saw. Baby Cakes are probably the hottest cover band in town and spending a Saturday afternoon listening to them and drinking wine sounds like a good time. On Saturday night Bilongo will be offering up hot Latin jazz, plus people will be salsa dancing, which ought to be fun to watch even if you aren’t a dancer.

Finally, a note to all bands and musicians who have made it through the pandemic and are ready to start playing again: be sure to head over to bellinghambands.com and make sure your listing in that database is up to date, to help venues find you.
