Picks of the Week:
It’s great to see an all local bill happening Thursday at the Buffalo. The Latin Tinge Septet or Jay Irwin and the GP Sunsets would be great ways to start your Friday. Saturday night has a whole bunch of events happening as part of the fundraiser for everyone affected by the recent flooding. If you can’t make it to any of those, you can also donate directly. It’s also great to see some live music happening at Make.Shift again.
There’s all sorts of other stuff going on too. You’ve got touring jazz (Jared Hall), electronic (Kendoll), folk (Stillhouse Junkies), metal (YOB) and hip-hop (MURS) acts that are all going to be great for fans of those genres, not to mention Damien Jurado’s loyal following. What are you looking forward to this week?

News and Upcoming Events:
I’m very excited to be helping to organize some occasional local band showcases at the Wild Buffalo. The first one is coming up on Thursday the 16th, featuring Bob Fossil, Separatr, and Blood Capsules, and I hope to see some of you there. It should be a lot of fun!
I’ve been starting to hear questions about New Years Eve. So far the events I know of for that which are selling advance tickets are The Walrus at Twin Sisters, Daikaiju at Shakedown, and Petty or Not and Baby Cakes at the Wild Buffalo. I’m sure that list will grow considerably as we get closer to that night.
Thanks to everyone who has subscribed so far. Please share this newsletter with anyone you think might enjoy it so we can continue to grow.
